Komunalac ("the App") is operated by Open Kinetix doo, a company registered in Kragujevac, Serbia ("we", "us", "our").

  • Photos and Images: When you report an issue, you may upload photos. These images are stored on our servers and associated with the reported issue.
  • Issue Descriptions: Any text you provide when reporting an issue.
  • Profile Information: If you choose to create a profile, your display name and profile photo.
  • Social Sign-In Data (Optional): If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from the respective provider. This data is used solely for account linking and recovery across devices. We do not access your Google or Apple password, contacts, or any other account data.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Identifier: A unique anonymous identifier generated on your device to track your reports without requiring registration.
  • Location Data: GPS coordinates when you report an issue or verify an existing issue. Location is only accessed when you actively use these features.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and analytics.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the app (screens visited, features used) to improve our services.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Google Maps: We use Google Maps to display issue locations. Google may collect data according to their privacy policy.
  • AI Image Analysis: Photos may be analyzed by AI services (Anthropic Claude) to suggest issue categories.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide Services: Display reported issues, track their status, and facilitate communication with local authorities.
  • Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and fix issues.
  • Gamification: Track points, badges, and leaderboard rankings based on your contributions.
  • Communication: Send notifications about your reported issues (if enabled).
  • Safety: Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the service.

3. Information Sharing

3.1 Local Authorities

Issue reports (including photos, descriptions, and locations) are shared with relevant municipal authorities for resolution. Your device identifier and personal information are NOT shared with authorities - reports are anonymous.

3.2 Service Providers

We use third-party services for:

  • Cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services)
  • Image storage (Amazon S3)
  • AI analysis (Anthropic)
  • Maps (Google Maps)
  • Error tracking (Sentry)
  • Authentication (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In)

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Open Kinetix doo, our users, or others.

4. Data Retention

  • Issue Data: Retained indefinitely to maintain a historical record of civic issues.
  • Account Data: If you delete your account, personal profile information is removed within 30 days.
  • Social Sign-In Data: If you linked a Google or Apple account, your name, email, and provider identifier are retained until you request account deletion.
  • Device Identifiers: Retained as long as you use the app. You can reset by reinstalling the app.
  • Usage Analytics: Aggregated data retained for up to 2 years.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time.
